    Talking I want a mk5 astra...

...but i cant afford one I have drive 2 of these now, a 1.6 5dr with automatic lights, wipers etc can't remember the model but this was okay in my eyes compared to my 1.7dti astra g. But for the past 2 days ive had my mitts on a 1.8 SRI (XP) and omg that is a nice car! I drove everywhere with sport mode on as it felt closer to the feel of my old astra with the slightly heavy steering etc. Drove from hastings to east leake and back and got 37mpg which im impressed with considering i only got 32mpg out of the 1.6.

Nout wrong with a 1.4 ... just a slight bit underpowered to any other Astra

The only thing i dont like about the astra is that its made me realise how poor the brakes are on my car compared! Like 10% on this car is like 50% on my car!

Just got back into my car today and god my brakes are really that awful! I really hope it passes the mot tomorrow now (wish me luck?) think the servos gone on mine as i can pump the pedal right up when idling and hold my foot on it and it slowly drops but if i rev the engine it will drop right away.
