Need a bit of advice please... I bought a 1.2 16v 2001 Corsa C for a first car for my brother. Got it cheap as it wasn't running. Did the pedal test and camshaft sensor fault occurred. Replaced the sensor and car started first time and runs fine. My only concern is that there is a build up of mayonnaise on the oil filler cap and on the cams, although .. the oil on the dipstick is normal and no signs of water mixing with it. My mate said he had to top up the water every so often. I performed a compression test on it yesterday and the results were 15 bar in each cylinder. My questions are... I'm guessing the compression reading is good and consistent? and .. Is there any other way of the oil and water mixing apart from the head gasket?
