    Yes mate.

I recently put cruise control into my 1.6 16v 2001 SXi Z16XE but I'm not the first. It was a bit of a nightmare because I didn't have a stalk connector or clutch switch wiring available. You'll need to run 4 cables to the ECU to bulkhead loom.

Is yours a 1.6? Have you checked for stalk connectors?

I'm able to provide advice and guidance (I'm no expert but........) on fitment if you need any.

    Cheers,
    Dave

You replace the indicator stalk with a new one with 3 cruise control buttons on the end. I would be lost without it now

As Mike says, its still do-able but means more work. I went to the scrappies to get the car-side connector for neatness but you could simply splice a cable directly onto the stalk fly-lead. You might not need to go through the bulkhead if you can securely attach in the X2 bulkhead connector (but need to confirm wiring first) but most of us have run the cables to the front of the car and spliced into the ECU engine loom.

I think its been worth the hassle (about 2 hours, as Mike said above). I use it alot .

There is plenty of advice available here should you need it .
