    Few brake questions...

    that i need to ask.

    Right i've got a 2003 1.8 sxi astra with 256mm(front) and the 240mm(back) 4 stud discs.

thinking of getting some goodridge brake hoses http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Goodridge-Brai...item2c57abd49c (like them) and changing some brake fluid

    so
Q1-is ebay cheapest place for some hoses (£74+ p+p) can anyone recommend anywhere cheaper?

Q2-kit says it has 6 hoses is that for the front and back or just fronts?

Q3-what brake fluid do i need and how much any recommendations on makes?

    Cheers in advance.

Though does the MK4 with rear discs not need 6 lines or is it only 4? The kit above is a 4-line kit though I believe others here have recommended the supplier in the past so worth finding out, much cheaper at £52+carriage plus they can do colours, woo!

Cheap-ish to upgrade to 280mm discs, hub carrier, calipers and caliper carrier off a 5-stud MK4, then new discs/pads for £55 or so on trade club. £150 or so should see the whole job done and much better initially than upgrading the hoses, I'd look at the 280mm setup first.

Worth doing, nice improvement over the smaller 256mm discs Or, for a little more, go to 308mm discs, however you then need to get some 5-stud 308 discs redrilled to 4-stud so a bit more of a faff.
