    Scorpion Issue on a GSI

I reakon i have had the worst luck with an exhaust system ever.

I bought a full resonated Scorpion including sport cat about 8 months ago. The cat section had a bit of unfinished weld on it which needed repairing before being fitted in its entirety to a Z20LET GSI Astra.

The centre section has split twice! Had 2 replacements sent with the recent one being supplied with strengthening brackets.. every now and then the centre section vibrates.. and now the cat is blowing from inside the heat shield..!??

I have been invited by Scorpion to their headquarters in Derbyshire next week with a view to rectify the issue. mmm.. we'll see

Surely no ones had that much bad luck? Im 'Exhausted' with it all. Should i just ditch the Scorpion and move on with something a little more trusting?

Oh forgot to mention, they have infact offered me petrol allowance there and back!

Ive always used Scorpion, on a Renault 5 gt, fiesta rs, astra red top.. never had a complaint then. Maybe they have made 1 too many cutbacks and naturally as a result, the product suffers and then of course, the customer.

Ill stick with it.. something must be wrong that Im confident Scorpion themselves can fix.

i went trough 2 scorpion centre sections (welds cracking) in 12 months on my old coupe turbo before i got fed up and put the standard centre section back on, now have a powerflow system and can just forget about it and i have not had a probem in almost 2 years.

would not buy a scorpion exhaust again even tho the customer service was always top notch,

Thats what i was saying.. I have had scorpions on a number of cars back in the day and never experienced problems like this. Something cant be right.

Looking forward to going to see them all the same though

    sod the bad comments

applaud the customer service - not many places would invite u to the HQs costs paid

im sure it will be a good outcome

Id rather have a Scorpion than a crappy Milltek any day of the week! Now they have seriously poor welds!
