Zafira life wing mirror passenger side.

Hi, Please forgive me if this question has been asked before but I have had a good look and can't find any info.
I have a Zafira, the old shape 1999-2005 Model I think it is.
Last night a monkey decided to kick my passenger side wing mirror and it is really loose, something is broken inside.
I have ordered a complete new mirror assembly including electrics and hope to fit it myself but I have a problem...I'm a bit green!! It looks as if the mirror is held on to the body by two screws and on the door pillar there are two black caps or blind grommets covering what I think are the fixing screws, the lower cap is slightly obscured by the door lining cover (card?).
My questions are; can I release the lower screw without disturbing the door cover?
Will the electrical connector plug pull through the grommet hole in the pillar?
If I have to remove the door cover is there any where I could get info on screw/bolt fixing positions please?
I hope someone can point me in the right direction and thank you for reading.

I think you need to remove the door card.

And also be carefull as the screws can fall into the door.

I thought the whole unit was held in place by 2 screws which are accessible from the inside.

Nixoro. You are correct regarding two screws but are they accessible without dismantling the door card? Also will the connector plug have enough length to enable the swap? Thanks for the reply.

The last time I did one I had to remove the door card.

And one screw needs to be fully undone but the other one you just undo and the door mirror and screw slides up and off the door.

As above, it'll make life a lot easier removing the door card so you can access the cable and grommet which go through the inner door skin.
