Exclamation Z20let tuning advice before remap

Im thinking of getting my z20let mapped next week but unsure on a few things...

First of all, current spec is as follows,
Tx Front mount and hard piping
    Vxr actuator
    Standard gsi turbo
    big pre-cat de cat pipe
    Full exhaust system
    MK5 cdti airbox kit
    Beesons air intake
    Twin core alloy rad
    Tx hose kit
    Regal boost pipe

Engine is on a standard map, boosting to 10 and holding at 7/8.

Iv had recently brought a vxr turbo but im not going to fit it until i have sent off for a rebuild with uprated parts. Due to this, im not going to fit it until the new year at some point.

In the mean time, im thinking of getting it mapped in its current state to keep me happy until then.

First of all, what bhp do people think i will get with the above spec? How much more bhp would i get if i fitted vxr injectors and maybe vxr AFM?

Havent got the injectors and afm and unsure as to how much difference they will make?

z20let-er remap virgin over here so please help...

Not sure why you dont want to fit the vxr turbo before a remap it would make more sense, it would only take you an afternoon to fit.

You can still make 280-290bhp on the vxr turbo without the injectors or afm.

He wants to get the turbo uprated before it's fitted. Don't think it's about time, probably more about cost of getting it done.

Personally I agree with Tony.... Why not get it remapped after you get your uprated VXR Turbo back?.. You will only be wanting to get it remapped again afterwards once the uprated turbo comes back.. This will cost you more money in the long term....

As my good pal Locko has mentioned, you will be looking at between 250bhp and 260bhp on a standard turbo...
Star Silver SRI Turbo..'Red.Dot Reloaded'..Cybox Precat, Cybox Catback SS Exhaust..K&N Panel Filtered...9Ltr EDS SMIC!!.....

Yeh mis-read it, I thought you had already sent it off for rebuild.

You dont say if the vxr turbo is new, if so the rebulid cost is going to be pretty low.

Someone like red dot will update your map after fitting the vxr turbo at a reasonable cost.
Or ask the tunner before you map for the cost to update.

    Run it how it is
I would only Replace a LET turbo if it was on its way out or dead
what remap are you going for on the car
