    Warning Lights (:

    Sorry if been asked before or obv question but the orange car with spanner through is servicing needed?? just came on whilst washing car dont see what could be though thanks if any one knows why comes on

    There is a fault code logged on the engine.

    Do the pedal test (hold down brake and accelerator while turning on ignition) and some codes should appear in the mileage display. Write these codes down and post them up here.

    Or, if you are round this way, I could plug the laptop in and have a look.

    comes up with this then engine picture flashes i think its that any way thanks stampede be coming for sport button next month mate

    It's part of the CIM problem I told you about before, basically Vauxhall should sort this for free (was all over BBC Watchdog a while ago). Very common fault.

    or god what do have to do then take it to a vauxhall dealer ship,am not under vaux warranty or do they fix it for free.any idea how long it takes and does need be done straight away as need car get to work

    I *think* that as there is a recall for this issue that they should do it for free.

    Tell them that the horn has not been working with the lights on and the steering controls are intermittent etc.

    IIRC if you mention the watchdog problem they will replace the wiring first, if that doesnt cure it a new CIM to.

    Doesnt have to be under warrentee either.
