    Question Astra GSi " ORRRRR " Ibiza Cupra

    Looking to buy a Cupra OR GSi and im looking for some help. I have an ibiza at present but only a 1.4 becuase cheap insurance but, its gutless and looking for a change. I want something quik but i dnt want to put £100s of pounds a month in a car. I love the astra but im told it only does 19MPG if u dont boot it around town Would really help if some1 could give me some stats on both cars such as performace, fuel cons, Tax bracket etc wud be a massive help thankz

    i was in same position as you..didnt no which one to choose..Gsi had more power and thought it looked much beter..now i have one and wouldnt change back i love it!!

    its not that the seat ibiza's arent decent enough its just that i dont like the name of the car.. there's no heritage...and if you ask me they look terrible

    if your mates gsi was relativly standard i'd expect that to piss over it with an extra 50hp(if you say a GSI has 190) and an extra 40lbs ft of torque.

    Thats the newer Leon Cupra as well. The same age Leon is evenly matched against a Mk4 GSI and i can speak from first hand experience as my friend had a Cupra then a Cupra R. The six speed box on the Leon gave it the advantage top end but off the line the GSI was very much equal.

    I had a Seat Ibiza Cupra before my Mk4 GSI and i never regretted returning to the Griffin
