    Mk4 main beam bulb code?

    Want to upgrade them but i cant find out what bulb code they are.
    I know dipped are H7, what are main beams?

    1.4 Astra G 5 door.

    Assuming you've got standard h/lamps...HB3 or 9005 - different numbers for the same thing

    H7 are for dipped beam

    It actually says what the bulb is on the brackets that hold it the bodywork - a little known, but useful fact

    Yer went out and checked, HB3 60w. GOnna buy some 100w bulbs now, only a fiver with good feedback

    Be careful with 100w bulbs. Prolonged use can damage the headlamp lenses.

    I've ran 100w bulbs for over 20 years in all my car and have never experienced any probs

    I bought some ebay 100w bulbs and they were shite mate. They were duller than the standard crappy 55w halfords ones and they only lasted a couple of months.
    It would definitely go better with an engine in it
