    upgrading brakes

    i need to upgrade my brakes on my cab, its a turbo so got the 308's, is it worth getting vxr ones or do i just get some better than standard discs and pads?

    ideally go for some vxrs theres a lot of difference in size including actual thickness of the disc so takes more heat etc, 1 word though is dont buy mintex 1144 as they squell like mad and really are not what they made out to be

    without splashing out on new vxr setup etc the best bang for buck has to be EBC Yellowstuff pads

    Ideally fit some new discs whilst ur at it - grooved discs from mtec100 on ebay are a good start

    braided hoses and fresh fluid and ur onto a winner

    i'm running vxr setup on my gsi with yellowstuff and grooved discs front/back,and they are struggling running 308 bhp...don't think i would want too track it with this setup...

    Hispec motorsport all the way 330mm grooved discs and a monster 6 slimline caliper with braded hoses and ds 2000 pads

    hi spec really are the s*ittest thing ive ever bought had them on my astra gte fitting was awful using different size washers to even out the calipper to the discs and never sat true and could only use greenstuff pads as they wre the only ones that closely fitted the calipper and disc diameter with a mm over the edge of the disc
