    Cycle rakcs and lighting boards

    Hey folks

I've got a cheapo hatch-mounted cycle rack that will take 2 bikes. I've used it several times but it covers the number plate and part of the rear lights, especially with 2 bikes on it.

I know I should have a lighting board, so I was looking at this one: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...Id_202503#dtab

I'm assuming I can attach it to the bike rack, but I'm not sure how I would wire it into the car. Does the Astra have a compatible output? Halfords also have a wiring kit for sale for £40, but this looks like quite a complex job and also the bill gets a bit hefty considering I just want to take bikes from a to b sometimes without getting the inside too mucky.

Car is a 1999 Astra CDX.

    Thanks in advance

EDIT: Just noticed the typo in the title.... ooops!

Lol, I'm nowhere near strong enough to lift my bikes onto the roof! Besides, I'd be scared of the car rolling onto its side on the first roundabout I come to.
