    Desperate for Help

Hi a newcomer here needing some help. I have an Astra Convertible 04 plate.
The Driver side window does not move down when opening the door or at all when I press the window button so the door does not close right there is a gap between the back window and the front. Can anybody advise what the problem is? and how it can be fixed?
    Cheers in Advance

welcome mate, i think the coupes and convertibles have a sensor for when the door shuts it goes up and when you open it goes down a bit etc, i would ask at vaux to see how much one of these sensors may be. It may not be the problem but i have heard of it causing this kinda problem.

just check with them how much it is and if your problem is caused by the sensor. if theres someone local to you from here i would see if they can help you fit the sensor for a few beer tokens instead of paying the dealer prices

where are you based mate we have a regional section, maybe post up in there see if someone can help thats local to you?

    Hiya ,
    before doing anything try this:

Wind your window's fully down, keep your button pressed for about 10 seconds,
then wind them up fully again keep button pressed (each window in turn please,

It resets the Thingy, usualy after replacing a battery one needs to reset them,
Please go outside and try it

    P

No problem, i'm sorry i can't help you further,
The problem might be solved if you go to an auto electrician, and he/she will see if there is power going through etc

But please be carefull , do not get ripped off, ask for a quote etc

If it is a dud motor come to me i have all 4 motors/ mechanism's from a 04 cabby, and windows/ roof motor/hydrauliks/ etc etc
