    The SRi-Turbo's replacement...

    Hey guys,

I haven't posted for some months now, but I thought an update was in order...

I have owned Astra G's for nearly 5 years now, but decided to throw in the towel after all my problems with my SRi-Turbo which I owned for 18 months.

I started off with a 1.6 8v 5 door, then went on to a 1.6 8v 3 Door when I was 18 and transformed it into a gorgeous turbo replica, finally I bought a turbo last year when I was 20.

I searched high and low for the right car, put a deposit on this M3:

Only to find that it had ALOT of finance outstanding on it... OUCH! I still saved my deposit though so I was happy.

It took me months to find a car that could out perform the Astra (on a straight, anway). The M3 was a little on the slow side for me

Here is a picture of my old 1.6 Astra:

    And my old turbo:

Finally... I decided that the only car for me was this:

    A nice 3.5 V6 :P

The engine is phenomenal and the noise it makes is orgasmic. God knows why they put in a subwoofer as standard lol, it never gets switched on with that engine noise!

I would just like to say thanks to EVERYONE for their help and guidance over the last few years, it has helped me with every aspect of Astra ownership!

    Thanks guys! (and girls )

    Rob

I had not realised you were a Polar Sea Blue owner. Great colour.

It's sad to see the tubby left home but looks like you have a great replacement. I bet your neighbours love you if the Z makes a racket.

It's surprisingly quiet when driving casually, it's the best of both worlds! Turns heads with day to day driving though

That 1.6 Astra is a BEAUTY!
It stands out the most for me out of all the cars on this thread.

Have you got an autobiog thread somewhere on that?

Love the 350z mate my mate has one and I agree with you about the noise, you can't beat the noise from a v6.
