    camber alignment

whats camber alignment? and is it worth getting it done to my mk 4 ? just cos the struts have bn of a couple times getting springs replaced then back of having shocks replaced. is it worth getting done or a waste of time and money on a standard car ?

    cheers!

If the struts have been off then it is worth having it checked, however the OEM struts aren't adjustable and I'd hope the fitting garage put them back on correctly. Tracking and camber would be worthwhile checking to reduce the chances of uneven tyre wear.

Worth having them checked, cheaper than a new set of tyres if they're wrong and it ensures handling is correct too.

Standard shockers have NO room for adjustment so the only way that camber could have been adjusted is with it being lowered.

As for tracking, it shouldn't alter it, as you haven't undone the locking nut on the track rod end. I've had mine off 3 times since tracking and it never pulls in any direction.

ah! well my shocks and springs are standard! so to hell with the camber alignment then, i will be getting the tracking done though as i need to replace my driver side track rod end as the rubbers split and a new front tyre shortly. cheers
