    Turbo works when it wants

    Hi I have a 2002 astra mk4 2.0 dti.
When I first got the car it seemed really slow, so I put some engine cleaner in and arfter a few days the turbo started to kick in, and it worked fine up to now witch is 8 months later but it stop working yesterday on the way to work and then it worked on the way back but has now stopped altogether.

Has anyone got any ideas?? Cheers matt

Regular servicing is a massive starting point, engines like nice clean oil and non clogged filters!

my 2.0l dti mk 4 van is the same,my engine light comes off an on had the fault code read an it says its the egr valve,so i had it at my mates garage who recently fitted me a new fuel pump,we swapped the egr valve off another 1 an it did'nt cure it,also hesitates when you rev it around 1500 rpm,my mate says maybe the solinoids of the egr valve or a sticking injector, its a real pain in the arse mate!
