upgrading ecu to vipec v44 - ignition problem

    I am from Australia
I drive an astra sri turbo 2003 model , z20let. I have a small dilemah,
I am upgrading my ecu by placing a piggy back vipec v44. Problem with placing this ecu is that the standard coil pack doesnt have a strong enough spark to run the piggy back. Now has anyone upgraded their ignition system,
If anyone can help that would be great.

    - reason for upgrading the ecu is because the stock ecu no one can tune here in aus,

    - list of mods
    - gt2860rs turbo
    - custom manifold
    - forged internals
    - custom induction
    - aftermarket intercooler
    - wallbro fuel pump
    - some more minor work

The issue your having is bacause the standard ECU has the igniters for he coil pack built in to it.

Remove the ECU and you need to work out a way to step up the voltage to the coil packs to compensate.

I looked at three options and eventually went with a new CDi ignition system and new coil on plug system (see below):

There are other ways to do it but you'll never get a reliable strong sprak that won't get blownout.
