Theres plenty on the search, but the main things are check the turbo has been replaced dependant on mileage, and likewise with the cambelt (and water pump as its behint the belt)

People do replace the turbos with VXR turbos which can cause oil leak problems through the seals but theres a lot of information around about rectiying that so I wouldn't let you put it off. Vauxhall are even using them as standard replacements now.

Out of interest, are you from Bedford or is the name unrelated?

There is a Mk4 buying guide, might be in the MK4 sections somewhere down the page. Also, if the owner has kept replacing he tyres with Dunlop SP9000's then check the inside of the tyre wall carefully as mine had split quite badly and it was a warranty job from Dunlop.

Not sure if that is true! My turbo failed and Vauxhall fitted a mk5 sri turbo to it, not the VXR turbo even though the latter is about £300 cheaper to buy
