    Focal component speakers.

Has anyone got any of these in their car? Are they any good?

Just got a new set for under half the RRP on ebay and would like to know if they are any good.

Also got a set of CDT components for the front aswell. Know these are pretty good as a mate has them in his car.

Depends on the range of focals. Some find them tonally bright (me especially their lower end stuff) but it really is to be decided by your ears and no-one else's. But they are one of the best brands out there, same goes for CDT which are noted for being tonally neutral. Again one of the best.

My advice try both and see which you prefer and by try not a 5 minute audition as the best are the ones you find less fatiging, revealing over a extended period listening to your choice of music.

I had the focal access components and thought they sounded brilliant although the metal dome tweeters were very bright at high volumes, just switch to some rainbow speakers and they are 100x better, although they are a much more expensive speaker.
