    Arrow Stereo/Steering Wheel Plug

Hi All, Been browsing the search specifically after wiring diagrams to connect a PAC SWI-PS for the new stereo im planning , But so far all i've found is this :

Does anyone know the pin layout for the 'C' Section?

Or does anyone know roughly which wires goto the steering wheel controls + colours etc? Im assuming is resistance based.

Any help will be greatly received

    Thanks

    Dom

Are you just after having your steering wheel controls working with a aftermarket stereo? If so i would'nt use the part above, i'd go for one from the likes of autoleads or connects2 (a quick google search will bring up loads of places that sell these, aprox £35) These are basically plug and play so you dont need to worry about wiring diagrams etc! You'll need a headunit specific patch lead aswell!

Got to agree with the above

Anyway to aswer your question the steering wheel control is resistance based via pin A2 which is a blue/red wire.

"C" sections for the top display, phone input and cd changer

    Thanks autosparks,

I'd also prefer not to use the part i mentioned, but the stereo im after, a Dual XML8110 (http://www.dualav.com/mobileaudio/xml8110.php) will only really support this.

Its annoying and american, but until a decent company makes a headunit with a front facing iPhone dock, my options are limited.

Parrot do a headunit (Rki8400) which has a hidden compartment behind the removable faceplate where you plug your ipod/iphone in! brings up all the info on the screen etc and charges it too! No cd though, but do you really need that if you have a ipod! also gives you full hands free too!

I see what you mean now i've looked at the picture! i've not seen anything like that! You not a fan of the Tom Tom dock for the iphone then? a lad at work has one linked to the aux in on his stereo! Works well!

not really a fan of a separate dock, used them before, but the whole idea of this dock appeals to me! its cheap and cheerful, and i can utilize my iPhone fully! I can see the pro for a tomtom dock, but its just a place to stow it that will also charge the phone. Whereas that stereo runs everything. Well more accurately, it runs nothing which is ideal as I'm fed up of clunky manufacturers making things for iPhone/iPod which crowbar their own OS on top.
