    garage or driveway?

ive been doing some online quotes recently due to needing a renewal on my 18 sri astra. i did a quote sayinng it would be parked on the drive and recieved a quote that i was quite happy with, from elephant. after this we cleared out the garage allowing me to then park the car in the garage.

Brilliant i thought, that might help my insurance! turns out that it doesnt, it went up by £70?

not that bothered, il just park it on the drive, but was wondering if anyone could tell me why this is the case?
cheers in advance for any replies.

Admin fee? I know my insurers charge somewhere in the region of £25 just to update things.

Garage likely to be broken into by curious crims, as crazy as it sounds?

id rather garage my car than leave it on the drive! i had a dent put in a car by some **** lobbing a stone at it. now that wouldnt happen in a garage!

you might crash into your own garage trying to park...

garage all the way for me, stays cleaner and frost free in winter. Also when i hear morons shouting after they have had a sniff of the barmaids apron I dont have to keep watch - i probably would if the car was outside.

yeah the garage is obviously the better idea. luckily i live down a quiete close so dont have to much trouble with people walking past.
still dont get why its more expensive though.
has anyone else had the same thing happen?
