    Accident that wasn't your fault..

Just got a quote for an SRi 150, told them that I had an accident last year (someone drove in to me, not my fault, no NCB lost) and it added 300 quid to the f***ing price!?

How the hell does that make sense? I didn't ask the tosser to drive his car in to me.

Elephant penalised me 300 quid for a incident reported, yet no claim was made from any party, i only reported it incase the other party did, yet i was not in the car. Joke imo, but what can i do?

Whether or not an accident was your fault it will often increase your premium, just because you've been involved in one. Which is unfortunate!

Exactly. You've been involved in an accident so are considered to be a higher risk. It's harsh, but it's all part of how an insurance premium is calculated (it's all about risk).

I understand that it's about risk. I worked for in an insurance company for a while (all be it not a motor insurance company). For me though it just isn't logical that because someone pulls out of a junction hand ploughs directly in to the side of you, I am therefore a risk. If anything I should be less of one since my car is bright bloody red!
