    Question - Confused Lass

    Hello everyone.

Im a 'newbie' on here and this is my first post.
I have a question regarding my astra

    Please please please dont laugh.

When i bought my astra 3 weeks ago the description said as follows:
    vauxhall astra 1.4 sxi sport.

Me and a friend had a little argument lastnight after he said my car wasnt a sport. I said it was in the description on the paperwork when i bought it but still he said it wasnt a sport.

What makes it a sport or not a sport????
    Im totally confused.
Again it might sound daft to some people but im not 'up' on cars.

    Thanks

'Sport' is a Vauxhall branding, so if it says it is on the car/docs then it is

It usually refers to the styling and interior extras so much as suggesting it is 'Sporty' to drive though.

Are you getting mixed between a 'Sportshatch' (the 3dr Mk5 Astra) and a 'Sport' model?

    Its a 55 plate

I thought it might be classed as a 'sport' because it has 'sporty' features eg silver gear stick, silver pedals, silver handbrake etc.....

they could all be after marlket parts install by the old owner or the garage. Look in your logbook or ask at vauxhall dealer
Be an optimist - at least until they start moving animals in pairs to Cape Canaveral.

im pritty sure sxi is sxi and sport is sport e.g:

    Astra 1.4 sxi
    or
    Astra 1.4 sport

*come to think of it iv never seen a 1.4 sport only 1.6+

"sport hatch" is basically a 3dr hatchback

As tone has said, it will be a SXi Sports hatch, just the logbook doesnt allow enough characters on it, so Sports hatch is shortened to Sport.
