    Race Tube?

    Hi,

I was looking at getting a new exhaust and I have come across a Remus Race Tube, and I am curious to know what it is, what it replaces, what it does, etc? There isn't much information on there website!

It's a plain bit of pipe without a silencer that replaces the centre section. Commonly (and incorrectly) called a 'straight through' centre section.

As for what it does... it makes the exhaust louder, and improves gas flow over a standard OE centre section.

contrary to the above .. it's not illegal and will pass the MOT (assuming you have an adequate back box fitted)

Ive had one on my car for year years. it does back the exhaust louder, but its all dependant on your backbox if its really loud, as above no MOT fails or anything.
