    mot failure

car failed its MOT today, two reasons.
One was emmissions and one was "offside stop light"

failed emmissions as the mesh on the rear bumper covered the exhaust so couldn't put the probe in lol, so thats sorted.

But is it me being stupid or does "stop light" not mean brake light?
Because i checked them all before and after the mot and they all work :/

Stop light is the brake light, I suppose you could appeal against it, but really, its not worth it since MOT's are so damned cheap these days.

Didn't you speak to the tester? doesn't it give more of a description on the fail sheet?

Could be a dodgy connection on the brake light ,
so you want take a good look at them and make sure for how long it would take 20 minutes ,
It could of been loose during the test and fine after the drive home ,
could happen again and get you points off Mr PLOD lol

i checked it when the car started and half an hours drive later to check if it was a bad conection, it seems odd that i have checked it about 6 times over the last few days and it has always worked
