    MOT Failed -advice needed please

    Chaps,

Evil bus failed her MOT today, a few things have cropped up but the major one is this

"Offside front lower suspension arm has excessive play in ball joint (2.4.G.3)"

My question, any one know how much this is likely to cost me, the garage cant give me a quote until Monday.

And will it just been the offside one that gets sorted, or both front lower?? as I know somethings are done in pairs.

    Cheers guys.

You'd be better off changing the complete arm (wishbone) £25 - £50
and less than an hours labour.

I had the same. got them to do it so I get the guarantee and don't have to pay for a retest. £85

Which is what I just changed for her. £40 from eurocarparts, which just happens to have a branch round the corner. Took about an hour to do, some of the bolts were a bit stubborn as they'd been there for 8 years. But hopefully it should just be a matter of sorting out it's lighting issues and she'll be done.
