TomTom GO700 "No Maps Found" - how to fix

    Hi all

I had lent my old TomTom GO700 to a friend for also long as he needed it.

A few months later it needed to have new maps so he bought his own satnav and gave me my one back. But he told me he had tried to get new maps for it but when he powered it up it started showing "no Maps Found"

I have checked the hinternal drive (has no memory card slot) and all the files are there, I have formated it back to fat32 and reloaded/downloaded the infromation from TomTom but it still shows no maps found.

I have checked on the net (both via google and tomtom) and I have followed the instructions given but it still wont work.

Does anyon know what to get it working again?

Sounds like he downloaded the maps but they're not tied to your device. as if you haven't paid for them.
