    Service Due..

Right my car is due a service, but i'm not quite sure what i should be getting done. Its a 1.6 sxi 2001 model with 70,000 on the clock. Anyone shed any light on anything extra i should be looking to get done or whether its just a routine service plugs, oil, filters etc. thanks.

Depending on how long ago it was, it may be due for cambelt, i change mine every 40k, so u got a few miles left yet.

Cabin filter... get that done not many people ever bother doing it, my old one was dark grey, covered in smeg u'd be suprised how dirty they get.

Fuel filter.. make SURE its done, mine was ticked in the service history, even ticked a couple of days before i got it, looked at it, and it was the original one, alot of people just think ahh F it and dont bother, so i replaced mine with a UFI one.

Check your coolant, see how clean it is, and get someone to use a tester see how strong the anti-freeze is, (winter coming up, before we know it itll be scraping the cars time)

Make sure the brakes are all decent, wearing okay and not binding at all, just a really good going over of things mate i like to do service times... the list could be endless depends on if your feeling flush really!!

You need to change the water pump as they have a habbit of collapsing if you dont.
Your service book details whats required at each service.
