    air conditioning removal

i want to remove all parts from the air con the winter is here is more weight and will free up more space with out it. i have taken out all the hoses and pump already.

couple of questions for you guys,

    1. what belt can i use instead of the original astra one becuase obviously now the pump is not there the belt will need to be shorter.

    2. where the hoses connect to the bulkhead from the pump and radiator do these need bungin up propely with anything or can they just be left bare?? thanks
