    Car Change and No Claims

    Hi Everyone

My current renewal date is the beginning of June, I pay monthly and next June I will have 4 years no claims. Iím thinking of buying my dadís car from him in January and Iím only 22 so will have to really shop around for insurance.
If I was to cancel my policy, do they send you out proof of your no claims to the nearest month? Or would I only get proof up until my last renewal date of June meaning I would have 6months no claims unaccounted for?

    Thanks

It's a three year old Audi A4, it's a company car, he is due to change in January, so I'm thinking of buying off the lease company.
I use it a lot already at the weekends, and have done around 10,000 miles in it all over the country, so just seems like a logical step for my next car, it's high mileage at around 91,000, but I know it has been maintained properly and obviously know it's full history.

But as you can imagine, I will need to shop around for insurance! annoying really as it's a car I'm used to driving as much as my own!
