    Alloys Query

    HI Guys.

    Got a query regarding alloys.

Basically im after some VXR reps, but im torn between two different options.

Both wheels look the same but the offset is slightly different.

one is ET42 and the other is ET45, both 5x110, 8x18.

Can anyone help me as to which ones will fit better on mk 5 sri?

    thanks

I'd say the ET 45. They'll stick out a bit more but not too much to catch the arch

ok, they are selling them on LMF so should be decent. so they defo will not catch the arches?

ET42 and ET45 should be fine with the correct tyre size, however ET42 will stick out more than ET45 - the higher the number, the further inside the arch they'll be.

considering they are 8" wide then you wanna give yourself the best chance of not hitting the arches therefore go for the higher of the two offsets

Personally I prefer lower offsets for more of a wider stance but for a simple 8" rim you're probs better off with the ET45 for minimal fuss

unfortunately it all depends what you're after at the end of the day
