    Winter Protection?

Hi guys, not really an expert when it comes to cleaning the car, I use meguires gold class shampoo once a week, and meguires gold class liquid wax after washing about once a month. Occasionally use demon shine after washes when i dont wax.

But anyway I do about 50 miles a day and with the winter weather fast approaching i was thinking of setting by a day to fully protect the car from the elements.

So what steps should i take?

I've heard lots of positive reviews about collinite as a wax that will last months, and many use it in the winter. So i was thinking of purchasing some of that.

But has anyone got any other advice/products to protect the car?

The car has never seen a clay bar and is 6 years old now so been thinking of purchasing the meguires claybar kit as that comes with everything i need, so i might do that before hand.

    Cheers,
    Josh

    Wash
    Clay
    Wash
    Dry
Polish (Dodo Juice Lime Prime would be best IMO)
Wax (Collinite 476s - hardcore protection for the winter)

    Hope this helps mate.

Bye bye VXR Castle Combe Edition - because it's done more laps of Castle Combe than most Bergs have of the Ring

    In a nutshell by Gaztd.
Lime prime has abrasives which help polish light imperfections out where as lime prime lite is a sole paint cleanser and gloss enhancer.
I find that lime prime is slightly more oil rich but either will do the job only LPL wont remove anything bar grime though it certainly will improve the colour of the paint and leave it creaking clean ready for wax.
Collinite is a good choice so is fk1000p or autobright ab carnauba wax which I test run some time back for them and tbh majority of there products arent well known yet but come from a branch of the same manufacturer as chemical guys/poorboys world.
