    Batteries

Ok I'm finishing off my system and here's wot I'm running

    2x vibe space
Run off vibe monobox amp 2800w
    4x blackair 6 components
Run off vibe stereobox amp 1400w

I'm guessing I will need a second battery put in the vac but can n e one tell me how to wire it up ?
Would a caravan split charger do or would it have to be wired up to the alternator , and I guess I will have to upgrade my alternator as well .

I doubt a caravan split charge relay would be heavy duty enough. Autoleads do a fairly cheap one http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/auto...rge-relay.html

What amp fuses are on the amps anyway?

if you get deeper into car audio you will learn that many people dont use spilt chargers they simply wire in parallel, so what to do is take a power wire from the positive of your front battery to the positive of your rear battery. making sure there is a fuse at both ends, i.e. a fuse just after the front battery and another just before the rear one

next ground your rear battery to a suitable place, take a wire from the negative of your rear battery and bolt it to the chassis making sure you sand down any paint to get a clean ground,

finally run two wires from the positive of your rear battery to your amps, and obviously ground the amps, can be in the same place as the battery but i prefer different points.

as for wire size to make it upgrade proof id suggest a 0awg wire from battery to battery

another 0awg for the battery ground

and two 4awg wires to the amps power and grounds

    finally

you could do with a bigger alternator, something around 90a should be good

ive got 300ah of battery power ( 3 batteries) on a 120a and my voltage is perfect, you dont need to do negative to negative as they are both grounded at their own points,

    I see that's good
So if I get a 120 as well it,ll be fine with bit to spare or will it do more damage ?
