We just got back from a bit of a roadtrip in my 2.2 Zafira, totalled 528miles, almost ALL motorway too.

cost me £90 in fuel, and at the prices/amounts I bought it worked out at 34.3mpg.

General driving to/from work etc etc I get 28-32mpg, and doing the same in my 1.8 Coupe used to be 30-35mpg so not too much different - I put the difference down to being a bigger/less aerodynamic car.
    NOW - Sapphire Black 3dr Astra G

    THEN - Glacier White 2.0Di Estate - 136bhp 1.6 Pineapple Yellow Mk3 - Flame Red 2.0Di Van - Chianti Red 1.8 Coupe - Star Silver 2.2 Zafira - Flame Red 2.2 Linea Rossa Coupe - Titan Gold 1.8 Coupe

9 Years, 7 Astras, 1 Zafira, No Regrets.

long motorway trips aren't bad, i managed about 38 before on a long trip, (estimate) but around the city, stop stars etc is quite bad.

    I wouldn't say its leaking :P

I notice a huge difference as soon as I get to 80mph they well bye bye fuel and drops to the sort of levels you are talking about.

Ive learn in the 2.2 to sit near 60 no matter how hard it is for me, that way I get about 35-38mpg
