Just a note to anyone using ebay to avoid using this ebayer (he sells a lot of Vauxhall spares, hence posting it here).
I purchased an ECU for an Omega 2.2 off him a few weeks back for a guy at work.It was listed as next day delivery, however after nearly a week it hadn't arrived, contacted the seller to be told he was on holiday but he was back the next day and would send it then. Fair play 2days later it arrived.
However, plugged it all into the car and it was found to be faulty (it was actually bringing up more codes than the one that had been removed). So TIS checking procedure was followed which diagnosed the ecu was faulty, basically the ecu should put out 5v, this one wasn't putting out any, we even checked the continuity of the wire and it was found to be fine.
Seller was contacted and responded saying the ECU was fine on the car he took it off but post it back for a refund.
So last Thursday (2nd September) the ECU was sent back recorded delivery. Come Tuesday Id heard nothing from the seller, checked with Royal Mail tracking item was signed for on Saturday 4th, contacted the seller to be told that he was on holiday and wasn't in on Saturday so the Post Office must be returning the item to me, told him that was bollocks item was signed for, he replied again saying that the royal mail had said it was just delivered to the post office not to his address, he doesn't have a card through the door and the post office don't have it.
So, contacted Royal Mail again, who confirmed that the parcel was signed for at his address at 8.06am on Saturday the 4th they just haven't uploaded the signature yet.
So buyer be ware stay away from this ebayer, now got a case opened with ebay, also there's another case on going at the moment who bought a 3.0 V6 off the guy and received a 2.5 V6 instead and now he;s adamant that the engine he sent was a 3.0:
