    Question Mariva Problem

Hi peeps, my dad has a mariva 54 plate 1.7 diesel turbo and has this very strange problem with it. Basicly he driving along the road when all of a sudden the car just cuts out. Then when he trys the start it again it wont go straight away, you might have to wait up to a minute before it decides to go again. First of all it only done it now and then but now its doing it quite alot of the time and hes starting to get very annoyed with it. The car has been to his machanics and been on the computer but no faults come up at all. So he stubbed what it could be.I had the same thing when ive had a drive of it. Its got 80 odd thousand on the clock so not too bad milage. I realy hope someone can give some light on the subject as he only had the car about 6 months and its getting to his wits end now. thanks people

    crank sensor

    yeah its a good 1

back of the engine towards the right if you look at it from the front

its a. right pig to a find and b. do

i found it best to find its location from underneath the car but then it was easier to take out from above but i have long arm

theres a earth point just above it from the starter motor i think you need to take that off first to stand any chance

good luck its not a fun job, i would order a new 1 before you start you wont want to do it twice.
