    Question Car detailing product questions

Hello every1. I've got a mk4 1.8 Sri hatchback in silver. At the moment I've clayed my car and used autoglym polish and meguairs spray wax. I clean and polish my car almost every weekend. I was thinking about buying poor boys natty paste or ex-p or both. just wondering what every1 recommends and if autoglym polish works well with these products. My paint works in quite good nick the the odd scratchs that autoglym covers up

Personaly I have found dodo juice and wax, autoglym and juicy detailing all leave quite a nice finish. But theres 2 types of wax durable and wet look and sadly you cant have both so its whatever is convenient. Dont wax your car too much cause you can damage the paintwork

How can wax damage the paintwork? Polishing can as it removes a small amount of paint each time you do it, but unsure how wax can cause damage. Its there to protect the paint.

As said, wax puts a protective barrier on the paint, it won't damage your paint unless you use cheap all in one type products.

Get yourself some decent sealant for silver mate. Zaino Z2Pro would be the best way to go. You don't need to polish and wax every weekend if you use a decent product like z2pro. Never polish over a layer of z2pro either as you'll just strip it off.

Once you've sealed it, your weekly routine should be wash, dry then spray on some quick detailer and wipe over and it'll come up again.

Doesn't it remove a small amount of clear coat & not paint?

If the car has a clear coat, polishing would remove that before paint.

If your already used to using carnauba paste waxes then for silver, fk1000p gets my vote everytime + its good as a wheel sealant aswell so 2 for the price of 1.
If your wanting simplicity I would look at something like opti seal as a quick alternative, this can be topped up every wash.
