    6x9s vs 2 x 12 in subs

i have a sub box in my boot with 2 12 in subs in it.
when its disconnected the sound in my car isnt that good tbh.

i was wondering if i fitted 6x9s instead would i get better sound?

i like alot off base but not too much if you know what i mean lol

i had 6x9s in my parcel shelf when i had my cavalier, the sound and base was much better with them,

has anyone fitted 6x9s instead of subs ??

I'm lost, why do you disconnect the subs?

I've got a single 10" sub and amp'd components in my Mk4 3dr, even though they're entry spec Fli models the sound is very good, no issues on the bass kicking the front seats around if I turn the sub up enough.

2 12" subs should shake the car to bits if the amp is suitable for them and the crossover frequencies and gain are setup correctly.

i have to disconnect them (pull out the fuse) when the kids complain about the base even when on low volume.

i have components in my front doors but sometimes they sound crap,

i dont know if subs are set up proper but i just cant get it the way i want it .
