    Renewal of Camshaft pulley bolts essential?

    Was just looking in my Haynes manual for the torque settings for when I rebuild my cylinder head.

    Noticed that the cam pulley bolts are stated to be renewed, is this necessary? Obviously got new head bolts, but didn't know the cam pulley bolts should be replaced.

    Its not essential put a bit of locktite on the thread and torque them up right!

    However if you want the job done properly change them, its always good code of practice

    Pretty sure they are stretch bolts so should be replaced when they have been undone.

    Oh right well if there stretch bolts then replace them, i didnt think they were lol
