    my op com shows my cars running lean help ???

    hi there i have a 04 gsi turbo and op com shows its running lean wil this cause any harm also what can i do to make it normal i have cat back 2.2 airbox regal boost pipe and baileysdv thanks paddy

    does it really show its lean.....or have u run the live data for long enough to watch it constantly switch from lean to rich..... as everytime ive ran it on all cars it always switches between the 2

    no i havnt run it for long enough only sort of 1 minute at a time it normaly does about 100-120 miles around town on £25 of fuel i guess thats bout right as it says 21.1mpg i dno tho also i checked the oil today i have done 4 k miles since owning it and it has used 2 lines of oil is that normall.

    what should i do take it on a run then try opcom when i get home thanks paddy

    run live data whilst ur running the car - a good half hour or so with the laptop connected, click RECORD so it will record all the data in that time then plot the data onto a spreadsheet etc

    only then will u know

    1 minute sure aint long enough!

    Not sure about other people but ive done nearly 3000miles since oil change & havent used a drop of oil. still bang on max.
