Mirror covers (how to get off)

I've got chrome mirror covers that fit over the top of my original mirror covers. I want to glue them on as they're just held on by stickypads at the moment. and it'll help stopping them getting nicked.

I've got manual mirrors at the moment and want to change them to electric at one point. if I glue them on will I be able to unclip it from inside the mirror and put them on the new mirrors?

tesco car wash!.... It pulls em straight off :P (trust me I know)

do you mean: glue the chrome covers to your manual covers.. then when you change to electric mirrors use the cover from your manual mirrors?

if so you should be able to as they are the same size I think

LOL I took the one chrome cover off and glued it back on. went to do the other side and it won't come off. I pulled it that hard that the original cover came off wit it anyway.

so that was a waste of time. if they want to nick em they'll be nicking the whole lot anyway.
