    1.9 SRi BHP Gains....

Hi Guys, Im looking for a bit of advice on my car.....I have a 1.9 SRi but its the 8v, 120 model. I have found a really good place for a remap, but can only expect gains of 30-40 bhp from it and I really want to get my car to over 200bhp, what other things can I do? Bigger Injectors?

    Many Thanks,
    Stuttz!!

I ain't no expert but I really don't think 200bhp is possible out of the 8v. Maybe if you spent ££££'s but you might aswel buy a car with bigger engine.

It would be one of those OR a remap... running a tuning box AND a remap simultaneously is not advisable!!

The box gives you a piggy back map no point having remapped then fitting a piggy back over the top. Both have advantages over each other you will find people prefer one or the other. Dtuk do a good set of different boxes and thonrney motor sport are good for mapping, but just do a google search and I'm sure you will find others

on the road up to 80mph there is no difference between a boxed 1.9 8v and a boxed 16v

its only after that that the 16v pulls ahead

Sorry but you don't stand a chance of getting to 200BHP on the 8v engine. Even if you did, It wouldn't last long.
