Sporthatch Trip Computer with aftermarket Head Unit

    Hi everyone,

I have tried searching but not come up with much,

I am on the verge of buying a Astra Sporthatch 1.9 cdti 150, the one with a computer and no sat nav, my question is that I currently have a pioneer avic F900BT double din head unit if i was to buy the correct leads for the steering wheel controls for my stereo would the computer still work properly and be controllable,

The reason i ask this is a friend of mine has a 2006 facelift 1.9 cdti vectra sri and he tells me that his trip computer is fully controlled by his stereo and since changing his stereo it no longer works properly.

    Many Thanks

    Mick

    Yes http://www.astraownersclub.com/vb/sh...d.php?t=177231

PLEASE NOTE YOU WILL ALWAYS RETAIN THE TRIP COMPUTER FUNCTIONS VIA YOU STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS, REGARDLESS OF WHATEVER STEREO YOU FIT. IT IS NOT DEPENDANT ON YOU HAVING A STEERING WHEEL CONTROL ADAPTER. ALL THAT DOES IS ALLOW YOU TO RETAIN YOU STEREO CONTROLS AS WELL AS THE ABILITY TO SET THE TIME (ONLY WITH THE CONNNECTS2 INTERFACE OR IF YOU HAVE AN ALPINE WITH THE ALPINE SPECIFIC ADAPTER)
