    New disks

I've just bought a set of disks and pads for the Zafira from Vauxhall.
The front disks have been supplied but with an almost brushed/roughened finish to the surface.
Everyone I've had before has had a smooth polished finish, anyone else had this recently?

I believe my own 280mm Vauxhall discs and my wife's 280mm discs for her Zafira were both like this. Both work fine, possibly just a way of bedding the pads in better.

They go shiny after a while. they do look a bit odd though when they come like that.

My 322mm from ebc had a rough feel to start with,
the idea is they bed in quicker as you want maximum friction between the pad and disc
But after a very short time the layer is worn off and the shiny metal starts to show

Thanks for the answers, I fitted them, no problems with them, so it's good.
