    Blimey! These things are uncomfortable

Had the first long(ish) drive today, 2 hours this morning and 3 ½ this evening (bloody traffic). Just couldn’t get comfy, the top of my left leg was hurting something chronic. My wife was also complaining in the passenger seat, back of knee support nonexistent. A very upright position helped a little but the seats aren’t brilliant. Ah well, short journeys only I guess.

You could always take the seats out and replace them with beanbags. You may fail a MOT but at least you will be comfortable...

Seats are so individual - I have no issues with the seats on my 2002 SXi, if you know how to set your seat correctly then that's half the battle.

Cabriomatt swears by these devices. He sais they take your mind off any achyness on long journeys.

i find that if i don't use my car for a couple of weeks and constantly use the van, they tend to be a bit uncomfortable. but using it day in day out they're perfect

I loved the seats in my Mk4 2.2 SRI & never had any aches or pains after 50k miles in 2yrs. They were firm & tight & held you in place nicely. We have a zaf GSi & they are also good on long journeys too. My Mk5 1.9 150 SRI creases my lower back after a couple of hours. The seats are wide and the side bolsters soft by comparison. Like you Ive tried loads of positions but cant settle with em.

I find the seats in my SXI comfy as. Have you set the lumbar support correctly?.
