    Self levelling suspension.

Probably a stupid question, but how can I tell if my mk5 estate has self levelling suspension?
Assuming that it has, how does this affect me lowering the car?

    Thanks.

    self levelling suspension??????
    expand on that mate?!

    lowering isnt a prob,
you can pick some cheap springs up from £70 or spend up to £200 on springs.

dont spend under £250 on coiles as the cheap sets are poop!

Mine is an estate, and somewhere in the handbook it mentions something about it. Basically if you fill the boot full of crap the rideheight stays the same as empty.
TBH I've not even looked under the car to see if it has conventional spring and dampers yet...

not true mate, some cars got self leveling shocks, when you load it up a pump pumps it up to the same hight as when empty. Can be ordered as an extra even in an astra. Tell tell should be one or more pipes going into the shock
