    Astra CDTi 1.9 SRI MK5

    I'm looking to buy one of these this week hopefully, could anybody tell me if there are any known problems regarding them which i should look out for?

    Swirl flap rods break/fall off (Take engine cover off and look for a long bit of metal sitting on top of the inlet manifold)

    Duel mass flywheel needs replacing if driven hard (The gearbox will rattle when you turn it off without your foot on the clutch)

    Thats all I can think of at the moment

    EGR valve is renown to go after 30-40k miles. ask if thats been done

    Alternator failed on mine last week @ 41,900 miles.
