Welcome to AOC, Asty! I'm afraid I don't have any pics of pressed plates on an Astra G, but I have a set of perfectly road legal ones on my Astra H. I bought them from Dubmeister, but it was a bit of a pain as I had to send them my original registration document and also my driving licence. I later found out that it was cheaper to get the exact same plates from this place and they also accept photocopies of your docs, so you don't have to panic about them losing your originals. I bought my other half a set from here and they are every bit as good as mine, but didn't cost as much. You can choose to have them with the GB flag at the side or not. HTH

so do chestnut registrations accept photocopys of your driving licence and car registartion documents as proof for plates ? Was there any difference from the two companys in the plates ? im just looking for a plain plate which is legal and has no text at the bottom obv just the postcode in small text as this is required as law. Do you have a picture of your plate style ?

The only difference between the Dubmeister plates and the Chestnut Registration ones is obviously just the manufacturer's post code. Their style is exactly the same as the ones I have, though they let you choose whether you want the GB badge on or leave it off and just have your registration number. Their plates comply with all the necessary legislation and are completely road legal. When I bought a set for my other half from Chestnut they accepted photo copies of the docs. Here's a pic of mine, minus the reg number obviously.
