    Centre seat backs/bench mounting frame

Calling all Zaf experts, I'm after some info on the different types of centre seat back/bench mounting frameworks there are.

I've recently bought some GSi leather for my wifes 01 Zaf but they don't match up with the mounting points on her original framework/slider mechanisim , my wifes seat back are two pice and the GSi interior is three piece.

Do I need to get GSi specific frame work

    Thanks

    Thanks again.

Just fitted fronts and had to change the seat belt tensioners as the facelift are different style plugs.

Just need to find a late Zaf A thats being broken for parts

Just swapped my middle bench, have an '05 Zaf, put in an '02 middle bench. The side rails appeared identical, however there was some variation in the middle rail. The later one is long, has an extra bolt further back, with a longer piece of trim on top. That said, it was a bit of fiddle, but I did make the older seats work on the newer rails. As I don't know if your older Zaffy will have the 5th bolt hole further back. Comparing the two middle rails in profile, the later one is chunkier, but the rails on the two seats do look identical.

Bit weird, at first the seat wouldn't slide onto the newer rail. Then I swapped the middle rail, still didn't slide on. Really couldn't ascertain why, difficult to see underneath. Then I put the newer rail back, but only loosely. Then I slid the seat on fine. Then bolted the rail tight again. Now its all grand, slides back and too fine. Not sure what the problem was at first. It doesn't slide quite as freely as before, but it works. Wondering if it just needs a bit of grease.

Yep, front seat plugs are different. I just sliced the cables and rejoined the correct plugs with a connector block!

Don't need to swap runners just the framework as i only have 4 mounting points for the rear seat backs and later seats need 6 mounting points
