    Miss firing / surging power

Today i have just fitted a brand new VXR turbo and new rear boost control solonoid.
Everything is running great and sounds much better without a cracked manifold, but i still get a bit of a miss fire at about 2500-3000rpm when coming on boost.
Its more noticeable on half throttle than on full throttle, but its really annoyed me, as i thought after spending nearly £600 on the sodding thing it would have solved the fluctuating boost problem.

What else could cause the miss fire/fluctation under acceleration, map sensor, maf, dis pack?

try giving the map sensor a clean with some carb cleaner, and also check the spark plug gap. should be between 0.6-8mm for smoothest running i have found

I have not long changed the the spark plugs for brand new vauxhall parts, must have been 2000miles at most. Suppose it doesnt mean i didnt fit a faulty one. And for price i may as well replace them again.

Iv got a vxr turbo on my gsi, i have tried everything possible to cure my surging. After speaking to a few tunners they def think it needs a map. Vxr is over boosting and ecu is seeing this and pulling back the boost to protect engine then gives boost back still sees its overboosting so does the same ( surging ) mines going in for a map in a week or 2 so will let u know how it is

Yes mate i plugged the opcom onto it tonight, and there wasnt any fault codes listed.

Do the dis packs often fail on Z20's?
